In addition to our tutoring services, TKV puts on several workshops a year for foster parents that help parents to maintain their foster care licensure. These workshops, generally taught by UNC Charlotte faculty and community members, also provide our foster parents with new skills and resources, including Mindful and Engaging Parenting, Strengthening your Child’s Self Esteem: Adding New Tools to your Toolbox, Stand Up: The Importance of Reducing Sedentary Behavior, and Interactive Literacy Skills.
